Every year, brands and PR companies send out millions of dollars worth of product to media, bloggers and influencers for them to review and/or promote.  While these influential people provide a service to the brands, they are not actually in need of free products and goods to live.

The 141 Initiative is a mission to leverage the free goods sent to these media & influencers, to create social good.  Signing the 141 Initiative Pledge, and displaying the logo on your website, means that for every product or good you receive for free, that you've promised to donate a similar product or good to a charity of your choice.

Get a pair of shoes from Vans? Give your old pair to a charity.

Got a hoodie from Reef?  Give an old jacket to the local homeless shelter

141 Initiative is simple, it's a promise to give back equal to what you've received.

Media, Bloggers, & Influencers:  Signing the pledge is a promise that when you receive something for free from a brand or agency that you will either donate IT or a similar used item to charity.

Brands and Agencies:  Signing the pledge is a promise to only give products or goods to media and bloggers who are registered with the 141 Initiative.

Everyone Else:  While 141 Initiative was conceived with bloggers and media in mind, it's representative of a larger awareness about the excess we all possess in our lives.  Sign the pledge and agree that every time you receive a gift you look through your possessions and give something you no longer need to charity.
